however, these steps are not easy. they are going to take time and effort. My journey to being happy with my body and self is still a work in progress.
body - i wrote this part for girl because i am girl, and we have a lot more pressure to appear a certain way all the time
step 01. Don't compare yourself with others.
no. like. really just do not do it. it makes you a lot more vulnerable. remember that everyone has bad, non-instagrammical days. I often find myself caught in a limbo of computer time and nibbling on junk food - my eyes are glazed and my limbs are whining for sleep or another hour of scrolling and staring intently at my phone.
also literally every single person has days where she stuffs their tummy a lil too much
once you accept your flaws, other people can't use them against you anymore.

but in general, romanticizing your body is the best way to gradually feel better about it. Your freckles are skin stars, your stretch marks are nature's stripy tattoos.
mind -
step 02. Forgive yourself.
Messing up is inevitable.
"Don’t talk to yourself in such a way that if you did so to a friend, it would end your friendship. If you had a friend dealing with the same things, you wouldn’t berate that person, say, ‘You’re not working hard enough,’ ‘You suck,’ or ‘You’re not as good as [whomever].’ You’d offer your friend encouragement, you’d try to point out all the things your friend did right, and how much progress your friend had made. You should do no less for yourself. Be very careful how you talk to yourself. Because you are listening." — Pat Cadiganafter you do [________insert regretful event here_______], take ten minutes to think about it and blame yourself. then sigh as dramatically as possible and get over it, making sure not to do it again. congratulations, you are better than the person you were ten minutes ago.
"For a star to be born, there is one thing that must happen: a gaseous nebula must collapse. So collapse. Crumble. This is not your destruction. This is your birth." — n.t.step 03. (pretend to) be confident.
do things that make you uncomfortable - smile at strangers, talk to people when you're in line. stand with your head high (partially because it's good for your back OvO)
do not be deceived, you are worthy of love. believe it!!!
being content with who you are is not obnoxious
realizing how cute you are doesn't make you arrogant - unless you think that you are superior to others because of your appearance
please, just - try to love yourself as much as you want someone else to. because if you don't love yourself, who is going to?
if u are ever not feeling 100% about who u are just look at some buns and remember that the best days of your life have not occurred yet :o)
